List of Attacks
Below is a list of attacks carried out in the Gaza Strip against civilian Christian and other religious populations and sites. This is not a comprehensive list, but a list of major, verifiable attacks on these communities.
2025
July 7: Attacks on hospitals, shelters, and aid sites resulted in at least 42 deaths.
July 1-3: At least 300 killed by Israeli forces in the 48 hours leading up to July 3 in multiple locations, with many attacks targeting overcrowded shelters, displacement centers, markets, and homes.
June 29-30: 23 people were killed in Khan Yunis as Israeli troops and drones fired indiscriminately at crowds awaiting aid.
June 27: Ten people were killed by Israeli gunfire while waiting for aid at separate sites.
June 26: Three civilians were killed and several others injured at the Netzarim Corridor while waiting for aid.
June 24: At least 50–71 killed in multiple incidents, including 25 on Salah al-Din Street, with additional deaths in Khan Younis and Rafah.
June 17: At least 51 killed and over 200 injured near a Khan Younis aid distribution center.
June 16: At least 40 killed, with about half at a GHF aid distribution site and around 20 at Rafah; approximately 200 injured.
June 15: At least 23 Palestinians were killed throughout Gaza, with 11 dying while seeking food at GHF aid locations near the Netzarim Corridor and Rafah’s al-Mawasi area. Israeli gunfire and airstrikes killed at least 41 Palestinians, including five near GHF aid sites.
June 13-14: Israeli strikes persisted, with at least 20 Palestinians killed overnight into June 14. Many deaths occurred near food distribution points as crowds gathered for aid
June 12: Israeli airstrikes killed at least 42 people, 26 of which occurring as civilians waited for food at Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) aid sites.
June 10: Israeli forces fired on crowds heading to a food distribution point managed by an Israeli and U.S.-backed organization in central Gaza. Three people, including a child, were killed and at least 130 others were wounded, most suffering from gunshot injuries.
June 9: Israeli forces and allied local gunmen opened fire on a crowd near another aid site, resulting in at least six deaths according to Gaza’s Health Ministry.
June 8: At least 13 Palestinians were killed and more than 150 injured by gunfire from Israeli forces and American security contractors at two aid distribution points—one east of Rafah and another near the Wadi Gaza Bridge.
June 7: Israeli airstrikes killed at least 75 Palestinians, including 16 in a single bombing of a residential building in Gaza City’s Sabra district. Local civil defense described the attack as a “full-fledged massacre,” with dozens believed trapped under rubble.
June 3: At least 27 Palestinians were killed and dozens more wounded by Israeli gunfire near a food aid distribution site in the Tel al-Sultan area, west of Rafah in southern Gaza. This marked the third consecutive day of deadly shootings as crowds gathered to receive humanitarian aid amid severe famine conditions.
June 2: At least three Palestinians were killed and many more injured when Israeli forces opened fire as people approached a food distribution site, according to Palestinian and hospital officials.
June 1: Over 20 Palestinians were killed near an American-Israeli aid distribution center in Rafah, southern Gaza, as large crowds gathered to receive food assistance. The Palestine Red Crescent Society reported transporting at least 23 bodies and 23 wounded, all with gunshot injuries
May 25: Israeli airstrikes killed at least 23 in Jabalia, Nuseirat. A journalist and a rescue official were among those killed.
May 21: Israeli airstrikes killed at least 19 people in Gaza, including a seven-day-old infant.
May 19: Airstrikes in Khan Younis killed Ahmed al-Dali, a Palestinian paracyclist who had previously lost a leg in a 2014 airstrike.
May 12: Airstrikes in Jabalia killed at least 17 people, including civilians sheltering in a school-turned-shelter.
May 7: Multiple airstrikes targeted schools in the Bureij refugee camp and Gaza City, killing at least 91 people, including 15 at Karama School and 33 near a market.
May 6: An airstrike hit a school east of Bureij refugee camp, killing 17 people and critically injuring many others.
May 5: An airstrike targeted a residential home in Beit Lahiya, killing at least 20 civilians, including 8 women and 6 children. Additional strikes across Gaza resulted in at least 39 more deaths.
April 30: An airstrike in Zawaida, central Gaza, killed a 4-year-old girl named Massa Abed and several other children.
April 26: An airstrike flattened a three-story home in Gaza City, killing 10 people—half of them children.
April 22: Airstrikes killed at least 25 people across Gaza.
April 13–21: Military operations intensified in Rafah and surrounding areas, resulting in multiple civilian deaths, including children.
April 9: An airstrike on the Shuja'iyya neighborhood of Gaza City destroyed a residential building, killing at least 35 Palestinians and injuring over 70.
March: A series of airstrikes killed nearly 700 people in one week, marking one of the deadliest periods since the conflict began.
2024
December: The death toll in Gaza was estimated at over 45,000.
August–December: Israeli operations continued across Gaza, with entire neighborhoods reduced to rubble and escalating death rates in areas where aid was scarce.
April–July: Airstrikes and ground operations intensified in southern Gaza, hitting shelters and refugee camps, resulting in additional mass casualties.
February 7: The Indonesian Hospital in Beit Lahia ceased operations after a prolonged siege, leaving 45 patients without surgeries.
January–March: Continued bombardment in southern areas like Khan Younis and Rafah, where many displaced people had fled, resulted in thousands more deaths.
2023
December 16: Two women were shot and killed inside the Holy Family Church Compound in Gaza City. The nearby Missionaries of Charity convent was damaged, displacing 54 disabled residents who lost access to medical equipment.
December 12: Israeli forces raided Kamal Adwan Hospital, killing 20 people.
November 11: Snipers killed 1 child and injured 28 others at Al-Quds Hospital.
November 10: Nasser Hospital was surrounded and shelled by tanks; mass graves were later reported on the grounds.
October 27: A full-scale ground invasion into northern Gaza began, leading to intensified battles and increased casualties.
October 25: An ambulance convoy outside Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City was destroyed, killing dozens.
October 19: An airstrike hit the Church of Saint Porphyrius, where civilians were sheltering, killing at least 18 people.
October 17: An explosion at the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City killed an estimated 200–500 people. Responsibility remains disputed.
October 8–31: Airstrikes targeted densely populated areas throughout Gaza. By the end of October, over 8,000 Palestinians had been reported killed.
October 7: Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel, killing around 1,200 people and taking roughly 250 hostages. Israel responded with heavy airstrikes across Gaza.
